​Brookdale Church in Ilfracombe. 

Sunday Services

We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am for a time of worship together.  The services include sung worship led by a small music group, relevant teaching, prayer, and on the second Sunday of each month, communion.  Occasionally we have an all age service, but on most weeks, the first part of the service includes everyone, before the children have a chance to go to a separate group where they can receive age relevant teaching.  If you are visiting the area, we'd love if you can join us.  There is also an opportunity for folk to watch the service live on YouTube if they are unable to join us in person.  You can watch it HERE

On Sunday evenings we meet at 6.30pm for a further time of worship.  The service is similar to the morning service, but usually a little more informal, a little more interactive, and there's communion on the fourth Sunday of the month.  On the first Sunday of the month we join with other local churches to pray together.  You should be able to find the venue on our Facebook page.

During the Summer holidays, there won't be a service every Sunday evening with a variety of other things going on, including open air services.  Please check Facebook for details.

​Who we are...

Brookdale Church is a local group of Christians – that is to say, ordinary people who have put their trust in Jesus and what he did on the cross.  We think God is amazing, and love to come together to Worship Him and hear from His Word, the Bible.  We also are keen to share with other people how great God is, and let people know the good news that anyone who puts their trust in Jesus* will be forgiven and will be friends with God.

Elders

Jonathan Smith is married to Lorraine, and they have 4 children.  They have been at Brookdale Church since 2009 when Jonathan was appointed as pastor/elder of the church.  He enjoys music, sport and talking about almost anything!
Martin Fry is married to Dot and has been an elder at Brookdale Church since 2018, having been actively involved in the church for many, many years.  Martin is a farmer, and with Dot, loves spending time with their grandchildren whenever they have a chance.
Tony Lovering is married to Teresa and has been an elder at Brookdale Church since 2022.  Tony has been a part of Good News For Everyone (formerly Gideons UK) over many years in various roles, and runs a building company.
